After I read your recent article regarding America after September 11, I will particularly like to draw your attention where you mention about those Nepali who had become Christian to get a green card but their faith as Hindu is maintained as they keep going to Hare Krishna temple every Sunday . I am very concerned the way it is put on because of its implications that is damaging to several Nepali family who go to ISKCON (Hare Krishna) temple for their spiritual peace on regular basis.

I have been attending Hare Krishna Temple for almost six years and I have my own reasons to go there. I am married to non-Hindu and have three children. Most Hindu temple are neither friendly to a Foreigner nor there is any room for children. There is no communal events that occur on predictable fashion. From that aspect Hare Krishna Temple fulfills all my needs plus nobody is staring at my wife or my children like when you go to other may be ethnically pure Hindu temples.

Secondly in my last six years I have not come across any converted Nepali attending the temple but converted Hindus who are rigorously following the rituals of Hinduism which we who call ourselves Hindus have forgotten to follow. I hope the story is not a fabrication but a good journalism. What worries me is that your article may portrait myself or some of us Nepali who attend our Potomac Temple as one of your example because here in D.C. there are not more than three Nepali families who go to this temple on regular basis and we all know you are based on the D.C. and it is more than likely that you are commenting on what you see here on your backyard. We ,myself and other families who attend this temple, have quite a concern the way this sentence is portrayed to hurt our being in the community.

I have all the good feeling about your news coverage etc but we are quite concerned that if speculative reports are written and if they are not backed by facts on your article, people like us will be victim of your work.

Nepalipost suru garnu bhayeko ma hardik badhai chha. I had this idea since 1996 and a lot of friends had suggested me to launch such a community bulletin back then. Now, it's a matter of satisfactin to see an idea being implemented.

Even though I do not know other members of the team I believe you all will be able to carry this on and attain the goal. A lot of things have to be clear while doing such a noble community work and a lot of hurdles will come but you will be through them with a collective effort.
